Intact at the Organic World Congress and the GLOBALG.A.P. Tour

Intact will be represented by Gerald A. Herrmann, Managing Director of Organic Services, Intact’s global sales partner, at the 17th IFOAM Organic World Congress in South Korea (Gyeonggi Paldang) from September 26 to October 5, 2011. The IFOAM Organic World Congress takes place every three years, and is organized by member organizations.

The Congress will offer sessions on a multitude of topics, not only in the scientific and general part of the Congress, but also in accompanying conferences, such as ones on aquaculture, textiles, wine, seeds and ginseng (see www.kowc2011.org/).

In addition to presenting a lecture on international aquaculture and rural developments (in connection to agriculture and energy), Gerald A. Herrmann will hold a presentation titled, “Data streams of international product chains need advanced and open IT technology”. Following that, in a second presentation, he will talk on “Creating added benefits through supply chain monitoring”, in which Gerald will illustrate how the collection of product data over the entire supply chain can be beneficially communicated to consumers.
