Requirements
By using the database system Flowweb the product flows from organic farmers to wholesalers, storehouses, mills, processors and the retailers can all be documented accurately and displayed in a clear, unambiguous manner. Additionally, data from internal resource planning systems that are already in use can be integrated and used for traceability purposes. Flowweb can also handle dispatch orders for storehouses.
Realisation
At the beginning of the project Naturland’s exact requirements were evaluated in a workshop organised by Intact, and a detailed outline of its needs laid out. Based on this preliminary concept the standard Flowweb software was adapted to form a version that suited Naturland’s needs. In particular, the adapted version allowed the tracking and tracing of various types of goods with all their characteristics - from grain to onions - throughout the whole chain of custody in a clear and transparent way.
An intelligent interface imports relevant data on stock movements from the internal ERP system. External storehouses receive dispatch orders online and re-confirm the shipment in Flowweb.
Flowweb also allows data exchange with the certification software Ecert. The data received via an interface helps Naturland stay up-to-date regarding certification results of the organic farmers, processors and traders within the Naturland network.

“With Flowweb not do we only sell our product to the customer, we also sell a portion of trust in ecological quality and give them a ‘face’”.
