Mass balancing according to sustainability regulations

According to the EU Regulation for renewable energies, which will come into effect at the end of this year, it will be mandatory to certify all commodities that are used to generate renewable energy. ISCC, REDCert and RSB are some of the first systems to have been approved for the certification of renewable commodities. Mass balance systems will prove that all used commodities are from sustainable sources.

Such mass balances can be created easily and flexibly with the web-based software system Flowweb, which meets all requirements of international sustainability regulations. Additionally, the status of suppliers, as well as self-declarations and contracts, can be administrated by Flowweb. Greenhouse gas emissions in agriculture, transport, storage and processing can be documented on basis of default values or calculated individually.
