New carbon assessment software - Throughout the entire supply chain of agricultural and food business

Together with its partner, Soil & More International BV, Intact has developed a carbon footprint software that simplifies carbon assessments of product chains in agriculture, the food industry and trade, enabling users to carry out carbon assessments of product chains independently. Available since November 2010, the carbon calculation software is a module of the worldwide successfully used certification software, Ecert.

The software helps to identify the CO2 saving potential throughout a product’s entire supply chain. With this software, we can help agricultural producers, processors and traders comply with environmental and sustainability standards, such as the “Renewable Energy Directive (EU)”, the “Roundtable on Sustainable Biofuels” standard or the “International Sustainability & Carbon Certification” standard.

The software can also be used as a benchmarking tool. With a climate-friendly carbon footprint a company will be able to position themselves and/or their product(s) with a unique selling point in the market.
